Meet the leader of the Hometown Dental team, Dr. Jennilee Jamison.
I was born in High River and raised east of Okotoks on acreage in Mazeppa. My three younger brothers and I attended both Blackie and Highwood High Schools. After high school, I attended the University of Lethbridge and succeeded in receiving my B.Sc. Co-op degree in Biochemistry. After U of L, I moved to Vancouver to attend dental school at the University of British Columbia. During my first year of dental school, I was enrolled in the Canadian military dental officer training program. I attended boot camp during dental school and upon graduation from UBC, was posted to CFB Edmonton 1 Dental Unit and promoted to Captain.
During my time with the military, I was sent on many courses in both Canada and the US, and also did temporary assignments at other bases such as Yellowknife, Shilo and Suffield. My most memorable assignment was Pacific Partnership 2011, which was a humanitarian mission with the US Navy. I travelled from Australia to Timor Leste, followed by Micronesia and then finished in Pearl Harbour on the USS Cleveland. During the mission, I treated many patients who did not have access to regular dental care.
While I was posted to Edmonton, I also worked in a private practice in my evenings and weekends. I retired from the military after 7 years and worked full time for one year in the same private practice in Edmonton before deciding to move back home. For two years prior to Hometown Dental opening, I worked in both Calgary and Okotoks as an associate.
In my spare time, Dr. JJ is busy with her family that includes 7 nieces and nephews, her two labs Duke and Daisy, volleyball, slo-pitch, camping, travelling, and riding her Harley or side-by-side. I am excited to have my business at home and look forward to the ever-changing Hometown Dental adventure!

Delayney – Registered Dental Hygienist
I attended the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene in North York Ontario graduating in June of 2015 with high honors in academic achievement. Born and raised a country girl I was happy to return to my home community of Okotoks and rural lifestyle. Growing up a barrel racer, I value time spent with my horses as well as time spent with my family and friends. My big welcoming smile will help you feel at home while I work on yours!
Lacey – Registered Dental Hygienist
I graduated with High Honors from the Ontario Dental Education Institute in 2013 and have been happily making your smiles sparkle since! I then completed a degree in English and Linguistics from the University of Calgary, graduating in 2014. Raised in Calgary, my husband Jordan and I moved to an acreage North of Okotoks in 2013 and we love the country lifestyle. I spend most of my time with my new baby boy Jackson as well as babying my dogs, Watson the wiener dog, and Kahlua (Lulu) the Catahoula.
Kristen – Registered Dental Hygienist
I have been in the dental field since 2007. She was an Orthodontic Assistant for 5 years before pursuing a career in Dental Hygiene. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program in Ontario with honours before moving to Calgary, Alberta in 2012. I enjoy interacting with patients of all ages but specialize in working with children. Besides working, I enjoy travelling with my husband and have been to over 10 countries.
Kim – Registerd Dental Assistant
I am originally from Edmonton, but now I call Okotoks home with my husband Shane. We are busy with our baby girl, Blake and are also occupied with our fur child, Lola. Changing carrier paths from financial to dental was an easy decision for me as I love the interaction with my patients everyday. I am passionate about helping others and strive to make them feel the best that they can, translating this to bring our patients the best care possible. I like to stay busy by spending time with my family, sharing my love of animals and keeping active with sports.
Tiegan – Registerd Dental Assistant
I love being a small-town girl. I was born, raised and still reside in High River. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart Jared and we have three handsome boys. Family, friends and fitness are three things I value most.
I graduated from Columbia College Dental Assisting in 2007 and have been working ever since. I thoroughly enjoy dental assisting especially with the Hometown Dental team and with it my lifelong passion of making people smile.
Jericho – Registered Dental Assistant & Administration
Born and raised in Calgary I am proud to be a part of the small-town family atmosphere at Hometown Dental. After a long career in the Insurance industry, I graduated from Columbia College in 2011 as a certified level 2 RDA. Since then I have enjoyed every moment of this exciting career. I take pride in helping our patients feel confident about their smile and assisting Dr. Jamison in providing the best care for you and your family. If I am not in the back assisting Dr. Jamison, you can find me at the front helping with any questions you might have and getting your next appointment set up. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Tamara – Registered Dental Assistant
I am originally from Red Deer Alberta and received my RDA II certification from Columbia College. I recently got engaged to my fiancé, Trevor, and we live in our newly built home in Calgary with our two boxer dogs, Digger and Rylee. In my off-time I have a heart for travel, passion for art, specialize in wedding makeup, and love rainy days and long nights of stargazing.
It is truly an honour to be a part of such a progressive team with a strong focus on whole body health. It brings me great satisfaction knowing that I contribute to my patients’ overall wellness by educating and encouraging healthy lifestyle changes.
Fun fact, I am the oldest out of 10 children!
Madi – Registered Dental Assistant
I graduated in June of 2016 from Okanagan College in Kelowna, BC. Making the move from BC to Alberta has been a great adventure and I love working in Okotoks. I also love meeting new patients and working with them towards improving their oral health.
I grew up on a ranch and still currently live on a cattle ranch with my boyfriend. In my spare time, I compete at rodeos, and help on the ranch. As well I run a small business with my mother, creating one-of-a-kind leather belts and purses.
