Why Choose Clear Aligners?

Orthodontics is a dental service designed to address alignment issues with your teeth. One of the most common orthodontic treatments are braces, which use a series of metal wires to slowly shift your teeth over a period of time.

While braces are common and effective for realigning teeth, some might find the process a little inconvenient or distracting for their day-to-day life. Straight teeth are important for supporting your oral health, so to address the concerns some people may have about braces, we offer SureSmile clear aligners.

SureSmile clear aligners are an alternative to braces that provide discreet, convenient orthodontic treatment to help align teeth and improve your bite.

What’s The Process?

The entire SureSmile process is personalized from start to finish. We take great care to analyze the issues you’re experiencing to create a SureSmile plan that helps you achieve your goals.

SureSmile is unique because of its ability to align teeth over time with fewer attachments and fewer refinements. Compared to other clear aligner systems, SureSmile may be more cost-effective as well!

A Consultation

If you are interested in correcting your teeth alignment and we think you are a good candidate for Invisalign or Suresmile, we will use the Primescan itraoral scanner to build a 3D model of your teeth and send it to the Invisalign/Suresmile laboratory along with photos of your face and teeth. You’ll wear your aligners for 14 days initially and use the V-pro vibration device daily.

We work with Invisalign/Suresmile to come up with an ideal treatment plan and then the clear aligner trays are made. The number of trays for a case is dependent on the amount of tooth movement needed.

Once your aligners arrive at our office, we’ll have you come in for an appointment where we’ll bond small attachments to some of your teeth. These attachments can help us address rotations or movement your teeth will need throughout the treatment, and we may recommend using elastics to help accomplish these goals.

The purpose of this first appointment is to create space for your teeth to move and shift while you wear your aligners.

We’ll provide you with your first set of aligners, which you’ll wear for about 7 to 10 days before moving on to the next set. Each aligner shifts your teeth slightly, and we’ll monitor the process with monthly check-in appointments.

For the best results, you’ll need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day. Removing your aligners too often could affect your treatment and make it take longer than originally expected.

You may remove your aligners if you’re eating or drinking liquids other than water. After you eat, we ask you to brush your teeth to help prevent issues that food may cause while you wear your aligners, like cavities.
